Langkawi- Day 2/4

Get ready for squad beekeeper  Langkawi!

All ready for a great day ahead

Started off our day with this amazing view of Langkawi paddy field

Paddy field

Hannah: Why are the grass so green here?
Rabiah: girl, its not grass its paddy  #CityGirl
And that lead to the lengthy explanation from nash on how rice are made

Loving the view

Pak Malau and Jason at the back

We had breakfast at Nasi Dagang Pak Malau. We experianced the real kampung feels, eating nasi dagang by the paddy field.

can't get enough of this view
I had Nasi dagang with Chicken curry! the food was good and the cost was definitely economical; the price is some what the same as what I can get in KL and Seremban.
Personally I feel that the Chicken curry was good, but the rice could have been better, It was not as 'pulut' feeling that I was expecting it to be.

Overall I would give the place 8/10. Because, just look at that view!

Definitely a place to go to when in Langkawi

After filling ourselves with some good food, we are now heading out to the mangrove tour in Tanjung Rhu.

Boats as far as the eyes can see

All smiles

The package that we took involves a private boat and our tour guide brought us to a small island near the border of Thailand and Peninsula Malaysia. Our driver left us at the island and there we swam for hours and climbed up Gua Cerita.

In the cave we found a white bed which is known as the resting place of the abducted princess of China

Legend has it; when the Prince of Rome and Princess of China was set up to matrimonial, Garuda disagreed of this and he abducted and kept her in this cave. This led to a war and the prince of Rome fell into the sea and the waves led him to the island where he and his princess were reunited.

Our tour guide informed us to look for the Quran writings that could be found in the cave's walls but apparently is not so visible anymore

This is when Ash thought us how to do a quality water splash and when Jason started to clean the island of bottles and plastics

Trying to be graceful

I really don't know how to dab, and Ash gave up on me

Cant get enough of the water

Post swimming we head out the crocodile cave, but no crocs on sight.

After which we head to the bat cave and gosh we can smell them bats. It was a trail down a man made bridge and the cave is housed by thousands of bats.

SO BEAUTIFUL

Endless bats

The bat cave ends with a trail to the mangrove forest

Loving the sun

Ashie and Nashie

Mangrove everywhere

We head out to the Andaman Sea and our tour guide showed us the rocks formation which resembles a shoe, a face of a man, a woman and a child.

Ash: Where!? Where ?! I dont see them!

''You really need to use your imagination to see all of these mountains'' said chichi to little ashie

Next was a visit to the monkey village!
Where we played with the monkeys and were suppose to feed them; but we ran out of snacks when we arrived. Sorry monkeys, but I cant sacrifice my friends

Abam monkey: hey girl, wanna get some coffee
Rabiah was flaunting it with the monkeys

Friendly monkeys  photobomb Jason

We head out for eagle feeding.
Our tour guide told us that they feed the eagles chicken's skin because its floats making it easy for them to eat. unlike fishes that just fall into the sea.

Feeding them chicken skin really brings down the eagles life expectancy by half and they are smaller than they are suppose to be and their fur sheds earlier on.

they used to have podiums to which they used to put fishes for the eagles, but that caused trouble since sellers from the black markets will hunt them down at the podium and sell eagles for 150-300 MYR so the podium was removed.

eaglessss!

Lastly we set off to the fish farm where we were introduced to a whole lots of fishes and the most memorable was Ali and Abu the stingrays and Rabiah got to touch them. hoyah!

The boat matches my swim wear

and that was the end of the mangrove tour! :)

The whole trip was really remarkable and really was something that I would recommend if you are planning to head to Langkawi.

For lunch we head out to Laman Padi, which serves traditional malay cuisine in the middle of the paddy field. we sat on the floor and enjoyed our private small pondok

Yums
The food is serve in a huge dulang and we took the 5 person package of fried chicken. The quantity was really more than what we could finish. So we ate while we talk and chill.

Post lunch everyone was taking their mid-day nap in the pondok #FullDay
Best part Laman padi is that they let you sleep in the pondok for hours

Later on we head out to Pulau Cenang to get drinks, snacks, hair dye and face masks.

We had dinner in a place called Wan Thai Restaurant; have to say they serve the best thai food I've ever had and being a Thai food addict, this is my favorite restaurant of the trip.
The only down side was it was too spicy for my liking but the food was great. They serves free cold pandan water and watermelon for desserts which really helped me with the spicy food

This was what I had

At night; we sat by the seashore of Pulau Cenang and watched a spectacular fireshow at the Low Wrong Bar

After the fire show we head back to Coco valley and decided to be random and dyed chichi's hair

Nash didn't allow us to sleep
Nash: when you are on vacation, you don't sleep
and he slept off on my bed !

When we were in the room we realized that we left the hair dye in the car and everyone was pretending to sleep for a good 1 hour to avoid getting down to the car.
At the end Ashie went down to get it *go ash!!! *

And the hair dying begins.
Because we didn't have enough resources to dye his hair, we used an old newspaper to cover his shirt and to wipe off the extra serum off his head

We then used an ash tray to mix the serum up and shared groves between the 3 of us *ashie, rabiah and I*

Because I was angry at Nashie for taking my bed I sabo chichi's hair and almost yank his head off *sorry chi, its the indian blood in me* lols

So Rabiah took over and continued

Scared face

We ended up dividing Chi's hair to different parts and dyed it by parts.
The instruction says to leave it for 3 minutes. but we ended up leaving it for a good 30 minutes cos we didn't want to ruin chi's shirt so we waited until the serum drys off

By the end of it, his hair was so beautifully black! Chichi looks gorgeous and he was flaunting it
